The Machine Breakdown Report in LaundroPortal shows how much revenue each machine at your location brought in and how many cycles it ran over a date range you choose. It's a quick way to see your busiest and least-used machines. It can also help you spot a machine that isn't earning, which may mean it needs attention.
Finding the Machine Breakdown Report
Log in to your LaundroPortal.
On the Locations page, click the address of your location.
On the location page, find the Reports panel on the right-hand side and click Machine Breakdown Report.
Running the Report
Choose a Grouping:
Individual Machines: one bar for each machine (for example W01, D01, SOAP1).
Machine Groups: one bar for each machine group, as set up under Manage Groups in the Machines section of the location page.
Choose an Averaging Method:
Total (No averaging): the total revenue and cycles for the whole date range.
Daily Average: the total for the date range divided by the number of days in it.
Set a Start Date and End Date. You can type a date in YYYY-MM-DD format or pick it from the calendar. You can also use one of the quick buttons: Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Previous month, or Month to date.
The report selects the last 30 days by default.
Click Run Report to generate the report based on your selections.
Reading the Results
Summary totals
With Total (No averaging) selected, the gray bar at the top shows the Total Revenue and Total Cycles for every device at the location over the date range. In the example below, the location took in $53,947.50 from 12,094 cycles over 30 days:
If the date range ends today, today's activity is included up to the moment you run the report. Running it again later in the day may show slightly higher totals.
The bar chart
Each machine gets two bars, listed in machine-number order (washers, then dryers, then any other devices):
Total Revenue (pink), measured on the dollar scale.
Total Cycles (blue), measured on the cycles scale.
The chart has two scales, one for revenue and one for cycles. Read each bar against its own scale. Washers usually earn more per cycle than dryers, so a washer often has a long revenue bar and a shorter cycles bar, while a dryer shows the opposite. In the example, W01 took in $2,278.50 from 150 cycles, while D01 took in $607.75 from 243 cycles.
At a large location the chart is long, so scroll down to see every machine.
Note: Dryer top-offs are not counted in cycle counts, only revenue figures.
If Dryers are configured to charge the same amount for the Full Cycle start as they do for adding Top-Off time to a running Dryer, all payments (Full Cycle and Top-Off) will count as Top-Off payments; in that case, the dryers will ONLY show Total Revenue numbers and will NOT show any Total Cycle numbers.
Soap vendors, door readers, and other devices
Every device with a card reader appears in the report, not only washers and dryers. In the example, the three soap vendors (SOAP1 to SOAP3) show their revenue and number of vends, and the door access reader (DOOR127) shows no revenue or cycles.
Daily Average view
With Daily Average selected, the bars show Average Daily Revenue and Average Daily Cycles for each machine. The report shows the formula above the chart: the total revenue or cycles in the date range, divided by the number of days. In the example, W01 averaged $75.95 and 5 cycles a day over 30 days. This view helps you compare date ranges of different lengths. The summary totals bar does not appear in this view.
Machine Groups view
With Machine Groups selected, the report combines all machines in the same group into one bar, such as 30 lb Washers or 45 lb Dryers. Use this view to compare performance by machine type or size. In the example, the 60 lb washers brought in the most revenue ($13,731.25), while the 45 lb dryers ran the most cycles (4,283).
Devices that aren't in a machine group don't get a bar in this view. In the example, this applies to the soap vendors and the door reader. They are still counted in the Total Revenue and Total Cycles at the top, so the group bars can add up to less than the totals.
Exporting the Report
Click the Export button in the report header to download the report data. You can then sort or analyze it further in Excel or Google Sheets.
Common Uses
Find your top earners: Run the report with Individual Machines and Total (No averaging) over the last 30 days or the previous month.
Spot machines that may need service: A machine with much lower revenue and cycles than similar machines may be offline or out of order. Check its status in the Machines section of the location page.
Compare machine types: Switch to Machine Groups to see which washer and dryer sizes bring in the most revenue and run the most cycles.
Compare periods of different lengths: Use Daily Average so that a 7-day range and a 30-day range can be compared fairly.
