Learn how email works on the Let's Do This dashboard, including marketing and transactional emails, audience building, personalization, branding, and confirmation emails.

Email is one of the most powerful communication tools available to organizers on the Let's Do This dashboard. Whether you're driving registrations, sharing event information, or keeping participants informed, the platform includes dedicated tools for email creation, audience management, personalization, branding, and performance tracking.

  1. Two email types

  • Transactional emails cover event-critical information that participants need to receive to take part, such as event guides, kit lists, and parking information.

Transactional emails sit inside the event under transactional emails.

  • Marketing emails support registrations and engagement, such as discount codes, merchandise, or partner promotions. Marketing emails only go to people who opt in or do not opt out.

Marketing emails sit in the marketing section at organiser level.

2. Building an email

  • You can create a scheduled email or a triggered email.

  • You can start from a template, edit content blocks, and add images, text, titles, and buttons.

  • You can insert personal attributes such as first name and other custom fields. You can use the add more option to access additional booking form fields and copy snippets into the email.

  • You can preview in web and mobile views and send a test email to yourself

3. Branding

  • You can create a brand theme with custom logo, colors, fonts, and background images.

  • A brand theme changes the look of the email so it matches event branding.

4. Audience Building

  • Transactional emails: Transactional emails can go to the full start list or to a filtered subset. You can filter by event data such as race title or custom questions.

  • Marketing emails: You can import a CSV segment using email addresses. You can build audiences using filters such as past event participation, city, or age on race day.

Opt-ins must be enabled in settings under booking form fields and marketing opt-ins.

5. Custom confirmation emails

  • You can customize confirmation emails per event.

  • These emails can include event information and helpful FAQs, but not marketing content.

  • If you update a confirmation email and resend it, recipients receive the new version.
