We will discuss 3 campaign sequences which you can build.
- Visit + Invitation + Delay 1 Day + Message
- Invitation + Message + Delay 1 Day + Message + Visit
- Message + Delay 2 Days + Message + Message
Managing Prospects in a Campaign
1. Manual Intervention
If you want to manually message a prospect on LinkedIn, you must first remove them from the campaign before proceeding by using the "remove" button. In this case, the system cannot automatically remove the prospect you manually engage with.
And then again filter them out using the "skipped" filter as show in the following screenshot.
⚠️ Important: If you manually message a prospect before removing them from the campaign, the system will not recognize the manual interaction and may still send scheduled follow-ups.
2. Follow-Up for Non-Responding Prospects
• If a prospect has not replied, the system will send the scheduled follow-up automatically.
• If you don’t want the follow-up to be sent, you need to remove the prospect from the campaign beforehand.
3. Handling Prospects Who Have Replied
• The system updates the status of prospects who have replied as “has replied” before the next action (e.g., sending a message).
• The reply-checking algorithm runs before triggering the next action, ensuring prospects who have replied are automatically removed from the campaign to prevent further follow-ups.
A prospect will not receive a follow-up if they have replied and you have not manually messaged them before removing them from the campaign.
Why This Approach?
• Since prospects can reply at any time, checking for replies continuously would require frequent LinkedIn API calls, which increases the risk of account restrictions.
• To ensure account safety, most automation tools (including Waalaxy) only check for replies before triggering the next action rather than running constant background checks.
1. Visit + Invitation + Delay 1 Day + Message
How It Works:
• The campaign starts by visiting the profiles of prospects.
• After a few profile visits, invitations begin sending to the visited prospects.
• Some prospects will accept the invitation, while others may not.
• For those who accept, the system waits 1 day before sending the follow-up message.
• If a prospect replies before the follow-up message, they will be automatically removed from the campaign and won’t receive the follow-up.
• If a prospect accepts the connection after 3 days, their follow-up message will be sent on the 4th day from campaign launch.
The system ensures no follow-up is sent to prospects who have replied, as their status is updated to “has replied” before triggering the next scheduled action.
2. Invitation + Message + Delay 1 Day + Message + Visit
How It Works:
• The campaign starts by sending invitations to the selected prospects.
• Once a prospect accepts the invitation, a follow-up message is sent within 20-30 minutes (since there is no initial delay).
• If the prospect does not reply, a second follow-up message is sent after 1 day.
• If the prospect still does not reply, their profile is visited as a final engagement attempt.
• At any stage, you can manually remove a prospect from the campaign if needed.
3. Message + Delay 2 Days + Message + Message
How It Works:
• The campaign directly starts with a message to the selected prospects. (You can only create this campaign on your 1st degree connections).
• If the prospect does not reply, a second message is sent after 2 days.
• If the prospect still does not reply, a third message is sent.
• If a prospect replies at any stage, they are automatically removed from the campaign, and further follow-ups are stopped.
Key Takeaway:
• This sequence is message-intensive and best suited for engaging warm leads or continuing conversations with existing connections.
