8.5 User Guide for Site Team

A brief guide for Site Team on how to use Lean PlanDo

Lean PlanDo is a smooth project delivery tool with integrated lean methodologies.

The team will use the Integrated Lean Project Delivery (ILPD) workflow together with Plan - Do - Check - Act (PDCA) process to plan, monitor and improve the project.

Lean PlanDo is a cloud-based application, which means you do not need to install any software. With internet connection and a device (laptop/tablet/mobile), you will be able to use Lean PlanDo conveniently.

The following mobile app features are important and useful for the site team to see how the site work is being planned out, to update the progress of site work and to know the project status and performance.

1. Mobile Application for Site Team

1.1. Sign Up and Login

Creation of Lean PlanDo account can be done through your mobile device.

To sign up for an account, go to Lean PlanDo at https://app.leanplando.com/

Click “Create New Account” to register and create your account. If you already have created an account, you can Log In using your Username and Password.

Note: When your email address (username) is added as part of the Main Contractor company in one project, your account will be automatically created if you have not done so. An email from Lean PlanDo will be sent to Confirm your account. In this case, you can access this email via your mobile device and confirm your account.

Once your account is confirmed/activated, you can use the username and password to log into the system.

1.2. Install and Login

Download & install “Lean PlanDo Site” app to track and update site work on the go for your construction projects. The app is available for both Android and iOS users. Simply search “Lean PlanDo Site” in App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) to download it. The app will have the following icon:

For site team, you will be able to monitor and update the status/progress of tasks that are happening on site, comment or attach pictures and documents to the tasks.

1.3. How to use Lean PlanDo Site app to update your site tasks

To learn how to use Lean PlanDo Site app, please refer to the following steps:

Step 1: Open the Lean PlanDo Site app and login

This will be the screen once you launch the app. Simply key in your Email ID and Password, and press Login.

Step 2: Access the project

You will see the project that you are invited to work together with your project team. Simply press on the project.

Step 3: How to see task list and access a task

CPR is the Construct Plan Reliability, which is one of the KPIs that Lean PlanDo calculates from your project team's input. To learn more about CPR, please go to this link:

Step 4: Access a task

Press the Tasks tab and update the tasks that are pending your progress input.

Step 5: Update progress

Click on any task you want to update.

Say you started on 26, did not work on 27 and completed on 28. You can do so and indicate that 27 was a Non-Working Day.

When you finish the task later than its base end date, or when you take longer than planned, a delay confirmation will be asked.

You can also correct your progress input if you have made a mistake:

Step 6: Add attachment or photos to the task.

Step 7: Add comments to notify your supervisor and colleagues about anything related to the task.

2. Other Features:
