TL;DR: The Weekly Learning Schedule is your homeschool command center. You can view your upcoming week, move lessons with drag-and-drop, and organize your family's activities in one place.
Managing a busy homeschool household is a big balancing act. The Weekly Learning Schedule in LearnSpark is designed to be as flexible as your family. Whether you are worldschooling on the road or following a routine at home, this view helps you see the "big picture" of your week.
Accessing Your Weekly View
To get started, go to your Dashboard and select the Schedule tab. By default, LearnSpark shows you the current week. Here, you will see all the Lessons, Projects, and Adventures you have planned for each student.
π‘ Good to know: Your schedule is built using the teaching hours you set in your preferences. If you need to change those, visit your account settings.
Moving Lessons with Drag-and-Drop
Life happens! If a sunny day calls for an unexpected trip to the park, you can move your formal learning easily. Managing your schedule is as simple as clicking and holding a lesson block, then dragging it to a new time or a different day.
Rescheduling: Drag a lesson from Tuesday to Thursday if you need more time to prepare.
Swapping order: Move a Math lesson to the morning when your child is most alert.
Unscheduled Items: If you aren't sure where a lesson fits yet, leave it in your "Unscheduled" sidebar until you are ready.
The Rhythm of Your Week
Your weekly rhythm is the heartbeat of your homeschool. SparkAI helps maintain this rhythm by suggesting the best times for subjects based on your child's Mastery Profile and your family values.
As you complete or move items, SparkAI learns from these patterns. If you always move Science to Friday, LearnSpark will start to suggest Science lessons for Fridays in the future. This makes your LearnSpark experience feel more personal over time.
β οΈ Heads up: Moving a lesson does not delete it! It just changes when it appears on your daily checklist.
Adding New Items to Your Week
You do not have to leave the schedule view to add more learning. You can click on any empty time slot to:
Create a Quick Activity: This is perfect for a last-minute nature walk or excursion.
Generate a Lesson: Use SparkAI to instantly build a lesson for a specific gap in your day.
Assign a Project Milestone: Keep your long-term Projects moving forward by scheduling specific steps.
That is it! Your week is now organized and ready for action. Great job!
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I see schedules for all my children at once?
Yes! Use the student filters at the top of the schedule. You can view one child at a time or see an "All Students" view to find where Pods or joint lessons overlap.
Does moving a lesson use SparkAI credits?
No. Moving or dragging existing lessons on your calendar does not use any credits. SparkAI credits are only used when you generate new content or when the system updates a student's Mastery Profile after a lesson.
How do I delete a lesson from my schedule?
Click on the lesson block to open the details, then select "Remove from Schedule" or "Delete." If you remove it from the schedule, it stays in your library for later use.
What happens if I miss a scheduled lesson?
The lesson will stay on the day it was assigned until you mark it as complete or move it. LearnSpark will not penalize you for taking a break or changing your plans!
Can I schedule things for my Learning Journey here?
Yes! Any milestone or lesson that is part of a student's Learning Journey can be dragged onto the schedule to ensure you stay on track with long-term goals.
