In the Learned platform, you have the option to keep Insights and notes at all times. You can do this for yourself, but you can also link these notes to one of your colleagues.

That way, you can collect feedback or compliments throughout the year, which you can later use when asked by colleagues to provide them with peer feedback.

💡: When you have gathered enough insights about yourself or a colleague/team member, you can use AI to turn your insights into a concept Review. 📚 Learn more? Read This article.

Creating insights

There are several ways to create Insights. For instance, you have an overview page where you can create a new Insight directly. You also have the option to forward information from a 1-1 or Review to your Isights.

💡: In the near future, it will also be possible to create Insights from external channels, such as Slack, Teams and e-mail.

On the Insights page

To view or create insights, click on the “💡” icon at the bottom left of the menu. Then click on “Create insight”. Choose which employee you want to create a note for, or create an insight about yourself.

At the top of the insights, you will see the source displayed. By clicking on the source, you can view it.

From a 1-1

You can send important input from various conversations directly from the 1-on-1. Select the relevant text, and an icon in the form of a bulb or light will appear. Click on this icon to send the input to Insights.

From a review

To save valuable information from an evaluation report as Insights, you can select the text to forward.

When you have selected the text, you will see the a button appear that allows you to create an Insight using a Pop-up.

💡: You can select text from questions in the report, as well as from the summary, to create as an Insight.

If you have added several Insights about yourself or the same colleague, you will find them when you click on the folder of the respective colleague. All insights will then appear in the screen next to it. Furthermore, you can also create new Insights for this colleague directly from this folder.

❗️Note: When you click on “All Insights” in the menu, you have to select a colleague for whom you are creating these. By default, you are self-selected there.

💡: Give your Insight a clear title, so you can find your feedback (for a colleague) more quickly. With the search bar, you can search for a colleague you have already created an Insight for, or for a specific insight.

Insights in the sidebar in Reviews & 1:1 Meetings

The Insights you add to your notepad in Learned are also visible in the sidebar in Reviews and 1:1 Meetings. This way, you can easily grab your notes when preparing your review, peer feedback or coach input.

❗️Note: Your notes are private in the sidebar. You will only see your own notes. The other person in the review or 1:1 meeting will see their own notes.
