[New] How to add, edit, and delete special provisions on contracts

Updated over 2 weeks ago

This article explains the features of the new LegalOn. For information on the current version’s product features, please refer to this page.

What are special provisions?

Special provisions are memos that can be added to a contract in LegalOn.
All users who can view the contract can add, edit, or delete Special provisions.

When a contract has multiple versions, the Special provision applies across all versions.
This makes it easy to share context, key points, and reminders about negotiations, contract execution history, or important business considerations with everyone involved.

Add a special provision

  1. Open [Contracts], and click the contract.

  2. In the file detail page, click the [Special provisions] tab.

  3. Click [+ Add].

  4. Enter the provision text, then click [Save].

The provision will be saved and shared with all users who can view the contract.

Edit or delete a special provision

Edit a provision

  1. Click the […] → [Edit] next to the provision you want to update.

  2. Update the content and click [Save].

Delete a provision

  1. Click […] → [Delete] next to the provision you want to remove.

  2. Confirm the message and click [Delete].

Note: Once deleted, a provision cannot be restored.

Add a risk flag to a provision

You can mark a Special provision with a Risk flag for better tracking.

View the full text of a provision

If the provision content is long and doesn’t display in full, click [Show details] to see the entire note.

💡 Info
