Stripe Troubleshooting

Updated over 3 months ago

Here are a few of the main issues that our coaches have had with Stripe, along with instructions on how to fix them.

Problem 1: My bank account is not based in the US.

At this moment, Stripe is enabled for accounts in these countries:

  • United States

  • Canada

  • United Kingdom

  • Cyprus

  • Italy

If your bank account is not in one of these countries, we will most likely still be able to support it! Contact support with your full name and the country of your bank account. We will verify some information on our end and then get everything set up.

Problem 2: I received an email from Stripe that they can’t process my payment.

The most common culprit of this issue is bank information that was incorrectly put in. For example, you will get this notification if your account number is missing a digit.

To fix, try going to your coach dashboard, then click on your profile image in the top right, and go to “Settings.” Under Payment Details, click “Manage on Stripe.” In your Account Details, verify that the Payout details are all correct.

If you are still having this issue, submit a support ticket.

Problem 3: I need to update my payment information (e.g. debit card lost/stolen or new bank).

The fix to this issue will be the same as Problem #2. Go to your coach dashboard, click on your profile picture and go to Settings. Then, Payment Details → Manage on Stripe. In the Account Details, you can upate your bank and card information.

Problem 4: I mistakenly put an address that is not where I nor my bank account are actually located. I can’t provide an ID number for this country so I cannot finish setting up my Stripe.

If you put in an address that is not in the country where you or your bank account is located, we will need to create a new Stripe account with the same email for you. Then, you’ll be able to re-set up the account with the correct address. Then, contact support and include that the Stripe address is in the wrong country and your email.

Problem 5: Stripe has said my bank is refusing payouts.

If your bank is refusing payouts but all the account information is correct in Stripe, then the issue is most likely coming from the bank. Please call it to confirm the connection with Stripe. If you are still having trouble, login to Stripe and contact them via the Stripe Express Support at this link.
