An overview of Leland scheduling and how to resolve common issues

To make sure your Leland sessions run smoothly, it’s important to have your calendar properly synced. To manage your calendar, click the "Edit Availability" button in the top right corner of the calendar tab, or click on this link.


✅ Connect Your Calendar

To stay on top of upcoming sessions, make sure your calendar is synced with your Leland account. We recommend using Google Calendar for the best experience. If you have multiple calendars, you can connect all of them.


📅 Ensure You Receive Calendar Invites From Leland

When a session is booked, you’ll receive an email with the subject "A session has been scheduled." This email includes an ICS file (calendar invite).

Due to a policy change by Google, ICS files won’t be automatically added to your calendar unless you explicitly trust the sender. To fix this:

  • When prompted in the email, select “Yes” to trusting Leland as the sender.

  • Once trusted, future session invites will automatically appear on your Google Calendar.


🔁 Reschedule a Session

While you’ll see Leland sessions on your Google Calendar, you can’t reschedule through Google Calendar directly.
To make changes to your session:


🍎 Sync Apple Calendar or Other Calendars

You can still sync everything by using Google Calendar as the bridge:

  1. Sync your Apple Calendar (or other calendar) with Google Calendar.

  2. Connect your Google Calendar to your Leland account.

  3. Your Leland sessions will show up across all calendars you use.


💼 Sync Your Work Calendar

Many users prefer using their work calendar as their primary calendar, but some companies block access from outside platforms.

Here are a few workarounds:

  • Try syncing your Outlook calendar to Google Calendar. Then connect that Google Calendar to Leland. (Note: This doesn’t work with all company restrictions.)

  • Best practice: Sync your work calendar to a personal Google Calendar. Then link your personal Google Calendar to Leland.


🪟 Add Windows of Availability

In addition to syncing at least one calendar, we recommend setting the days and hours you are typically available for coaching.

You can set your hours of availability here.


◼️ Set Blackout Dates

Add dates when your availability changes from your weekly hours. Clients will not be able to book with you on these days.

If you'll be unavailable for more than 7 consecutive days, we recommend setting your profile visibility to "Private" or "Not taking new clients" during that time period.
