Opt-Into Sales Assisted Leads
Leland has a sales team that spends their day on the phone with clients who are looking for coaching but don't know where to start. Rather than let those leads go unmatched, the team researches the best expert for each person's specific needs and passes the lead directly to that expert.
Opting into sales-assisted leads means more of those matched leads land in your inbox, on top of whatever you're already generating organically.
How it works:
A prospective client calls or messages Leland's sales team, often because they're not sure which coach or category is the right fit for them.
The sales team researches the client's specific goals and background, then matches them to the expert whose experience and track record best fit what that client is looking for.
That lead lands directly in your inbox, the same as any other intro request.
You handle the intro call and everything after it exactly as you would with any other client.
Your profile is what makes you easier to recommend. The sales team matches clients based on what they're looking for and which coaches are the best fit, and a strong profile makes that match easier to make. Reviews and outcomes give the sales team concrete proof to point to when they're deciding who to recommend, so the more you build those out, the more confidently they can put you in front of new leads. Building out your reviews and outcomes doesn't just help you convert clients who find you on your own. It also shapes how often the sales team can recommend you.
Why it's worth turning on:
These leads convert just as well as your organic ones. Sales-assisted leads convert to active clients at roughly the same rate as organic leads in the same categories, so you're not trading quality for volume. They're not warm bodies. They're pre-qualified matches.
It's purely incremental. The small platform fee on sales-assisted leads only applies to the leads the sales team actually sources and helps close. It doesn't touch any client you convert on your own. That means there's no downside to opting in: it's added volume layered on top of what you're already doing, not a tax on your existing business.
It smooths out the lumpy months. Organic lead flow naturally rises and falls. Sales-assisted leads add a steadier stream on top, so you're less at the mercy of slow weeks.
How to Work Effectively with Sales Reps
Sales reps and experts are on the same team. Alignment and communication are key to delivering a strong client experience and driving great outcomes.
Best practices:
Identify the assigned rep — If an order is sales-assisted, you’ll see a note in the top-right corner of your inbox with the assigned rep’s email.
Be communicative — Sales reps are highly responsive via email and the experts’ Slack. Don’t hesitate to loop them in.
Share feedback from intro calls — Let reps know how intro calls and early sessions are going so they can better support the client and reinforce the right recommendation.
Align on recommendations — Coordinate with the rep on the package or offering being recommended so the client hears a consistent, aligned message.
Coordinate follow-up — Align on next steps and follow-up strategy to help move the client forward and get them over the line.
Keep the rep in the loop post-sale — Fill in the rep how the coaching engagement is going and if any assistance is needed.
Getting started:
All experts are opted into sales-assisted leads by default under your Pricing tab. If you've opted out in the past, it's worth reconsidering, especially if you have open availability and want more consistent lead flow without any extra work on your end.
