The updated student responder is currently available for all Lennections clients.

This responder allows students to view the reading passages, attached documents and questions on the same screen. Students also have the ability to flag an item for further review or to revisit later.

Students are able to click the downward arrow next to the item number to view the status for each item. (Yellow highlighted items represents unanswered items. Orange highlighted items are Flagged items.)

Students will still have access to response eliminator, magnification, and highlighter tools.

Students can now highlight words in the passage and the question.

When students complete their assignment, they will click the Review or Finish button.

For written responses, students will type their response in the HTML editor. Math items will include the Math Equation feature. Students are able to expand the writing area by dragging the bottom line downward.

The Review or Finish button will open the Response Panel to the right. The top of the Response Panel will show the # of Answered items, the # of NOT Answered items, and the # of Flagged items. Orange highlighted items are the flagged items. Unanswered items are highlighted yellow.

Students are able to select their answers directly in the question, or if they prefer, on the Response Panel that opens up when clicking on the Review or Finish button. When students have completed the Review, they will click the green Finish button to submit the assignment for scoring.

Feel free to introduce this new responder to your students by using this guide, or click the Preview button in your account to view the assignment from the Students point of view. This is also a great feature to use when modeling and reviewing assessments/assignment with students.

If you have any questions, suggestions or comments about the new responder just let us know!
