What does ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT mean?

ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT happens when your web browser is not able to connect to Leonardo.Ai fast enough. Your web browser sets a predefined amount of time in seconds to reach Leonardo’s server. However, if reaching Leonardo.Ai takes longer than that, you will get the network connection timeout error or ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT.

There are many possible reasons for ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT including device issues, browser issues, network or wifi issues, and Leonardo.Ai issues. Before reaching out to Leonardo.Ai customer service team, be sure to check for device issues, browser issues, and network or wifi issues on your side. This would help speed up resolving your network issue.

How can I fix the error ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT?

To fix network connection issues such as ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT, please try the following troubleshooting steps.

1. Try a different device

If you get a network connection or ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT for Leonardo.Ai's web app, try reaching it from another device. For example, if you cannot access the web app from your computer, try loading it from your mobile device. Doing that helps you determine whether the issue occurs only on a specific device.

2. Check your internet connection

If you get a network connection or ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT for Leonardo.Ai's web app, try checking your internet connection using an online Internet Speed Test. Slow networks like busy public networks like those in malls and airports can lead to network connection issues. Try switching the network you are using to resolve the ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT error.

3. Restart your router

If you are at home and there are interruptions in your internet connection, you may experience an ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT when accessing the Leonardo.Ai web app. Try restarting your router device. To do that, turn off your router device and allow it some time to cool off. Then turn it on again and give it time to reconnect to the Internet.

4. Use the Incognito mode in Chrome

Web browsers store the cache of your browsing data, saved logins, and cookies. In some cases, the stored cache can be out of date. An expired cache can prevent you from reaching the Leonardo.Ai web app and lead to network connection issues. Try using Incognito Mode in Google Chrome or Private Mode in Firefox to avoid using the cache in your regular browser.

5. Use a VPN

If you’re facing the ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT error, it could be due to your network blocking access to the Leonardo.Ai web app. If you have one, try using a VPN to connect to the web app.

6. Contact your internet provider

If the issue persists, please contact your internet provider. In particular, please ask them to advise on:

  • Checking your internet connection

  • Checking network firewall and antivirus software

  • Checking proxy settings

  • Checking DNS settings / renewing DNS settings

I'm having issues using Leonardo.Ai on Safari, Edge, Firefox, and other browsers.

If you are having issues using Leonardo.Ai on Safari, Edge, Firefox, and other browsers, please try using the latest version of Google Chrome. Although Leonardo.Ai web app supports multiple browsers, we recommend using Google Chrome for the best experience.

If your network issue persists after checking your device, network, and browser, please don't hesitate to reach out to a human support agent by clicking on the "Talk to a human" button within the in-app support chat.
