Creating a deal on the platform is designed to be fast, and the AI does most of the heavy lifting. From the moment you start a deal, the platform's AI can pull information directly from uploaded documents, auto-fill your application, match your client to the right lenders, and generate submissions, all without you having to manually enter every field.
This walkthrough covers the full process, from creating a new deal to submitting an application to a lender.
Walkthrough
Click through the walkthrough above to see the whole flow, from uploading documents to submitting an application, then follow the steps below.
Step 1: Start a new deal
From your dashboard, click New Deal to begin the process. This opens the deal creation flow where you'll set up your client's funding application.
Step 2: Find or add your business
Type to search for the business you're creating the deal for. If the business already exists in your account, it will appear in the dropdown. Select it to pull in any data that's already been entered.
If the business isn't in your system yet, click to add a new business entry. You'll create it on the spot and it will be saved to your account for future deals.
Step 3: Choose AI Autofill
Once your business is selected, you'll be prompted to advance to AI Autofill. This is where the AI steps in to save you significant time on data entry. Instead of manually filling out every field, you upload the client's documents and let the AI extract the details.
Step 4: Upload supporting documents
Upload the client's supporting documents: bank statements, tax returns, business financials, or any other relevant files. You can click and drag documents directly into the upload area. The more complete your documents, the more accurately the AI can pre-fill the application.
Tip: The AI works best when documents are clear and complete. If a document is missing key information, you'll have a chance to fill in the gaps manually in the next step.
Step 5: Describe your client and funding needs
Provide a brief description of your client and what they're looking for: industry, funding purpose, loan amount, timeline, or any other context that will help match them to the right lenders. The more specific you are here, the better the lender matches will be.
Step 6: Launch the AI
Click to Launch the AI. The AI will process your uploaded documents and fill in the application details it can read: business information, financials, and other required fields.
Step 7: Approve AI-suggested details
Once the AI has filled in the application, you'll see a summary of everything it has suggested. Review the details, then click Approve All to accept them in a single click. You don't need to go field by field, unless something looks off.
If the uploaded documents were missing certain information, those fields will be left open for you to complete manually. Fill them in and proceed.
Step 8: Set financial and matchmaking details
Review and confirm the financial details and matchmaking parameters for the deal: loan amount, time in business, revenue, and other criteria that will be used to find the right lenders. Once everything looks good, proceed to the next step.
Tip: You can ask the AI for recommendations or support at any point during this process. Just use the chat input to ask a question.
Step 9: Explore and select matched lenders
The platform will surface the lenders your client matched with based on their profile and funding needs. Review the options, compare lenders, and select the ones you want to submit to. You can submit to multiple lenders at once.
Lenders your client does not currently qualify with still appear in the list, marked with a red X. See what the green border and red X mean so step 9 is not a surprise.
Step 10: Auto-generate lender applications
Once you've selected your lenders, click to continue to auto-generate applications. The platform will create individual applications for each selected lender. Deals for each lender application are added to your deals pipeline, with no manual duplication needed.
Step 11: Track AI processing progress
Open the application section to view the details. You'll see a completion progress bar as the AI processes and fills in the application. The AI will generate smart suggestions to help complete any remaining fields.
Step 12: Accept AI suggestions and reach 100%
Review the AI-generated suggestions and click Accept All to fill out the rest of your application. Once the progress bar hits 100%, your application is ready.
Step 13: Submit the application
Click Submit to send the application and all supporting documents to the lender. That's it. The application is submitted.
From here, you can:
Message the lender directly. No email chains, no chasing.
Track the review status and get notified inside the platform when a lender responds. Some lenders, especially non-integrated ones, will follow up by email or phone instead.
Keep everything in one place. Communication, documents, and deal status all live in your dashboard.
Tips for a smooth deal creation
Upload complete documents upfront. AI Autofill is only as good as the documents you provide. Bank statements, tax returns, and financial statements give it the most to work with.
Search for existing businesses first. If the client has been in your system before, selecting their existing profile saves you from re-entering data that's already there.
Be specific about funding needs. A clear description of your client's situation leads to better lender matches.
Use AI for more than autofill. You can ask the AI questions at any point in the deal creation process: lender comparisons, call prep, or quick answers about deal criteria.
Submit to multiple lenders at once. The platform handles the application generation for each lender, so there's no extra work on your end to send to multiple options.
Common questions
Q: What documents should I upload for AI Autofill?
A: Bank statements, tax returns, business financials, and any other documents that contain key business details. The AI extracts what it can from clear, legible documents.
Q: What if the AI doesn't fill in everything?
A: If any fields are left blank after autofill, it means the documents didn't contain that information, or the AI could not read it. You can fill those fields in manually before proceeding.
Q: Can I add a business that isn't in the system yet?
A: Yes. If the business doesn't come up in the search, you can create a new entry on the spot. It will be saved to your account for future deals.
Q: Can I submit to more than one lender at a time?
A: Yes. After lender matching, you can select multiple lenders and the platform will auto-generate separate applications for each one. All deals appear in your pipeline.
Q: How do I know when the lender has reviewed my submission?
A: You'll get notified inside the platform when the lender responds, and you can track the review status from the deal page. Some lenders, especially non-integrated ones, will contact you by email or phone instead.
Q: Can I come back and edit a deal after it's been created?
A: Yes. Deals are saved to your pipeline and can be accessed and updated at any time from your dashboard.
Q: What if I need help during the deal creation process?
A: Use the AI chat at any point during the process for answers, lender recommendations, or guidance on next steps. If you'd rather talk to a person, email contact@levr.ai.
