The platform lets you bring your clients directly into the deal process, with no more forwarding documents back and forth or waiting on information you need to move forward. With the Share feature, you can invite your client to their own Client Portal and give them access to collaborate on the application with you.
Once invited, your client can fill in details, upload documents, and track progress, all from their side, while everything syncs back into your account.
Walkthrough
Click through the walkthrough above to see the whole flow, then follow the steps below.
Step 1: Go to your Deals section
Head to the Deals section from your dashboard. This is where all your ongoing opportunities live in one place. Find the deal you want to share and click into the deal card to open it.
Step 2: Open the application
Inside the deal, click Application to open the application details. Here you can review or update the deal's current progress and documentation before bringing your client in.
Step 3: Click the Share button
Click the Share button to open the collaboration settings. This is where you control who has access to the application and what they can do.
Step 4: Enable client access
Use the toggle to give your client access to the application. Turning this on lets your client work on the application with you, from their Client Portal.
Step 5: Invite your client
Click Invite Business Members to send your client an invitation to the Client Portal. If this is their first time being invited, this is where their portal access gets created.
Enter your client's email address and click Invite to add them to the workflow.
Step 6: Assign a collaboration role
Choose the right collaboration role for your client to control their level of access. Select Business Owner to grant them top-level permissions. This gives them full visibility into the application and the ability to contribute directly. Collaborator and Partner roles let someone take part in a deal without control over the whole business profile.
Step 7: Send the invitation
Click Send Invitation to connect your client to the application. Then click Share to finalize their access and keep the deal moving forward.
Your client will receive an invitation and can begin collaborating with you on the application directly from their Client Portal.
Tips for sharing with clients
Invite early. The sooner your client has portal access, the sooner they can start contributing. Don't wait until the application is almost done. Bring them in at the start.
Assign the Business Owner role for primary contacts. For the main decision-maker on the client side, Business Owner gives them the access they need to move things forward.
Use the toggle to control access timing. If you're not ready for your client to see the application yet, leave the toggle off until you are. You control when they get visibility.
Remind clients to check their email. The invitation arrives by email, so give your client a heads-up to look for it.
Common questions
Q: Where do I find the Share button?
A: Inside any deal, click into the Application section and you'll find the Share button there.
Q: What happens after I send the invitation?
A: Your client receives an email invitation to join the Client Portal. Once they accept, they can access the application and collaborate with you directly.
Q: What's the difference between the toggle and the invitation?
A: The toggle controls whether your client has access to the application. The invitation sets up their Client Portal account. You need both: turn on the toggle and send the invitation to give your client full access.
Q: What can a Business Owner do?
A: The Business Owner role gives your client top-level permissions. They can view the application, fill in details, upload documents, and track progress from their Client Portal.
Q: Can I invite more than one person from the client's business?
A: Yes. You can invite multiple business members and assign each one an appropriate collaboration role.
Q: Can I remove a client's access after sharing?
A: Yes. Use the toggle in the Share settings to turn off access at any time.
Q: Does my client need an account before I invite them?
A: No. The invitation creates their Client Portal access. They don't need to sign up separately beforehand.
