How long does IT Glue migration take?
This depends on the size of your IT Glue full export. It could be minutes, or hours. Upload your export file and we handle the rest, preserving structure, relationships, and metadata.
What data migrates from IT Glue?
Data migrated from IT Glue include:

Domains
Configurations and interfaces
Passwords (if present in the ITG export archive)
Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) (if present in the ITG export archive)

Do I need to re-train my team?
No. The interface is intuitive, and Lex answers search queries naturally. Most teams are productive within hours.
Can I try Lexful before migrating all of my IT Glue data?
No, you must do a full migration to start using Lexful.
How about other documentation tools?
In early access, we currently only support IT Glue exports. Our team is working on support for Hudu next. Other tools like Sharepoint will follow as part of roadmap prioritization.
AI & Privacy
Is my information private?
Absolutely. We only use your data to serve and improve Lexful for you. We will never sell, distribute, or share your data with anyone. Your documentation stays yours. For more detail please review our privacy policy.
Do you train AI models on my data?
Never. We use Amazon Bedrock with enterprise privacy guarantees that your data is never used to train public models.
What AI model powers Lex?
AWS Bedrock supports all major LLM models and is a capable enterprise AI for reasoning, analysis, and content generation. We select specific models based on the best suited for different use cases; and we upgrade to newer models as they become available.
Can Lex access the internet or public data?
No. Lex only answers from your documentation. It has no internet access and cannot pull information from external sources.
How does Lex handle permissions?
Every answer respects your role-based access controls. You only see what you're authorized to access.
Can I use my own AI (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc)?
Yes, Lexful MCP server enables this now: https://developer.lexful.ai/mcp/overview

What security certifications does Lexful have?
Lexful is built on zero trust security principles from day 1, and is currently working on getting SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 compliances in place. We undergo independent third-party audits to ensure rigorous security, availability, and confidentiality controls.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is encrypted and stored in secure AWS data centers. Data never leaves our controlled infrastructure.
Do you offer SSO?
Yes. We support Google and Microsoft.

How do you handle password data from IT Glue?
Passwords are encrypted end-to-end and respect your existing permission structures. Only authorized users can view passwords, and all access is logged.

Why use Lexful instead of staying with legacy documentation systems?
