Understanding Manuscript Performance as a Reader. When exploring manuscripts on Libraro, your activity contributes to how books are discovered, evaluated, and supported across the platform. The metrics you see are designed to reflect real reader behaviour and highlight which stories are gaining attention, engagement, and potential commercial interest.

How to Access Your Dashboard

Start by logging in to your Libraro account. Once logged in, go to your Account Dashboard, where all your uploaded and drafted manuscripts are stored.

Once In your account dashboard you will need to click on "Statistics" and this will allow you to see all Writer Dashboard information

This is how the Data should appear on your screen from here you can look at three main aspects of your data, Readership, Engagement, Purchase Intent.

Discovery & Readership

Visibility shows how often a manuscript appears in reader feeds based on preferences and behaviour. This helps ensure that content is surfaced in a way that feels relevant and personalised, increasing the likelihood of meaningful discovery.

Opened Details indicates when a reader chooses to explore a manuscript further by viewing its cover and summary. This reflects the importance of strong first impressions, such as an engaging title, compelling cover, and clear description.

Sample Chapter Reads represent a deeper level of interaction, showing when readers begin engaging with the actual content. This is structured to distinguish between brief interactions and more committed reading, helping to highlight which manuscripts successfully hold attention beyond initial curiosity.

Together, these signals are used to understand how effectively a manuscript moves from discovery to genuine reader interest.

Reader Engagement

Likes provide a simple way for readers to show appreciation. These are intentionally linked to a minimum level of reading to ensure that feedback reflects genuine interaction rather than surface-level browsing.

Comments represent more considered engagement, where readers share thoughts, reactions, or feedback. This offers valuable insight into how a manuscript is being received and encourages meaningful discussion within the community.

Saves indicate that a reader intends to return to a manuscript later. This reflects sustained interest, even if the reader has not completed the work in one session.

Follows show when readers choose to stay connected with an author, signalling interest in their future work and long-term engagement.

These engagement metrics are designed to prioritise quality over quantity, ensuring that interactions are based on real reading experiences rather than passive activity.

Reader Interest and Intent

This section reflects whether engagement develops into a stronger level of interest.

Early Access Interest highlights when readers express a desire to access a manuscript beyond the platform, suggesting anticipation and perceived value.

External Clicks indicate when readers take action to explore a manuscript further through links provided by the author. This demonstrates a higher level of intent, moving beyond engagement into active exploration.

These signals are important as they show which manuscripts are not only being read, but are also generating enough interest for readers to take the next step.

How to Interpret These Metrics

Together, these areas represent a journey of reader interaction:

  • Discoverability shows how manuscripts are surfaced to readers

  • Engagement reflects how readers interact with what they find

  • Interest and intent indicate whether that interaction leads to further action

The structure of these metrics is designed to ensure that reader activity is meaningful, fair, and reflective of genuine behaviour. By linking actions such as commenting or liking to actual reading, the platform encourages thoughtful engagement and helps surface manuscripts that truly resonate with readers.

As a reader, your actions directly contribute to shaping which stories gain visibility, traction, and opportunity on the platform.
