Custom Views allow for greater transparency of messages in your Inbox.
You can change your inbox to reflect messages from specific accounts, contacts, and date ranges. This is a great tool for monitoring important accounts or the messages coming to a team member who is out of the office, onboarding employees, and collaborating with coworkers!
Creating a Custom View:
Select Inbox in the Left-Hand Menu.
Select My Messages.
At the bottom of the drop down menu, select Create Custom View .
Enter a view Name and your desired criteria. You can filter for Messages related to a specific account(s) and contact(s) or employee(s), as well as from a specific date range, and for Messages with attachments.
Under Restrict Visibility, choose to keep your view private, or make it visible to other employees.
Pro Tip: Making a view visible to others is a great way for Client Service Team Members to collaborate on their accounts.
Select Save.
Note: Specialist employees can only view Messages related to accounts they are assigned. Messages related to Restricted Accounts are only visible to Firm Admins and the account's CST.
To Apply a Custom View:
Select Inbox in the Left-Hand Menu.
Select My Messages.
Select a view to apply it to your inbox.
Note: Custom views cannot be applied to the inbox preview on your Home page.
Your inbox will display all Message threads between you and the Contacts/Accounts specified in the custom view in which you were a recipient.
The All tab will display all Messages exchanged between your firm and the Contacts/Accounts specified in the custom view, including Messages in which you were not a recipient.
To Edit a Custom View:
Select My Messages.
Select the custom view you wish to edit.
Select the pencil icon to the right of the blue button.
Modify the criteria and Select Save.
To Delete a Custom View:
Select My Messages.
Select the custom view you wish to delete.
Select the pencil icon to the right of the blue button.
Select the trash can in the upper-right corner.
Select Yes.
Note: When editing a view that has been shared with you by another employee, a new copy of the view is created with the same name as the original. Making a view that has been shared by another employee your default view will also create a copy of that view. The profile image of the employee who created the view will appear next to the view that they created. Hover over the profile image to view the name of the employee who created a particular view. When editing a shared view, we recommend renaming the view to avoid confusion.
