Sending Tax Questionnaires through Requests

Requests allow you to easily get the information you need from your clients. This feature is perfect for sending Tax Questionnaires to your clients. You can accomplish this in a few different ways.

Sending our Standard Tax Questionnaire Template

  1. Click on the Requests page in the left-hand menu.

  2. Click the +Requests button in the upper-right corner.

  3. Select the Tax Questionnaire template from the available templates.

  4. The template will load showing you all of the questions that will be included. (Edit capabilities coming soon!)

  5. Adjust your Request title, if desired.

  6. Add your assignee Contact and Account, and then click the OK button.

  7. Choose your Due Date.

  8. Click Send.

Creating your own Tax Questionnaire

  1. Click on the Requests page in the left-hand menu.

  2. Click the +Requests button in the upper-right corner.

  3. To create a new Request, click the +Blank Request button in the upper-right corner.

    1. Add a Name/Title to your Request

    2. Add a Description, if desired.

    3. You'll be prompted to add a Section title. Sections and Subsections are used to differentiate different parts of your Request.

    4. Once your Section title has been added, click the blue + symbol under the Section title in the left-hand pane.

      1. You'll be given the option to either add a Subsection or a question.

        1. There are three types of questions:

          1. Y/N questions are used when you have a specific Yes or No question.

            1. i.e. Did your Address Change?

          2. Short answer questions are used when you need a variable answer.

            1. i.e. What is your new Address?

          3. File upload questions are used when you are requesting the recipient to upload a file.

            1. i.e. Please provide proof of your new Address.

    5. Using Sections, Subsections, and questions, you'll go through your Request adding each where you'd like.

      1. For Pro Tier users, saving your Questionnaire can be done at this time using the Ellipses in the upper-right corner, and selecting Save as Template.

    6. Once completed, you can choose one of two options:

      1. Save and Exit will save a draft of the created Request that you can send out at a later time.

      2. Preview and Send will bring you to the Review and Send screen.

        1. Adjust your Request title, if desired.

        2. Add your assignee Contact and Account, and then click the OK button.

        3. Choose your Due Date.

        4. Click Send.
