Hey there! Let's walk through how you can export your data from Dashlane and get it ready for importing into Lockwell. It's a simple step-by-step process.

  1. Open Dashlane Web App: Launch your web browser and head to the Dashlane web app.

  2. Go to Account Settings: Within the Dashlane web app, you'll see a "My Account" option in the bottom left corner. Click it to get to your account settings.

  3. Ready to Export: Inside the account settings, find the "Export Data" option and select it.

  4. Unlock Your Data: If asked, enter your Dashlane Master Password to unlock your secure data. After entering it, hit "Unlock".

  5. Choose CSV Format: You'll see a few export options. Look for "Export to CSV" or something similar and click it. This makes sure the data can be used in other apps.

  6. Set an Encryption Password: You'll be asked to create a unique password to secure the exported file. Make sure you remember it, as you'll need it to open the file later.

  7. Confirm and Export: Confirm your encryption password by typing it in again. Once that's done, click on "Export Data" or a similar button to start downloading your encrypted CSV file with your data.
