As a Lockwell admin, you can seamlessly transfer your organization's accounts and related data from LastPass to Lockwell in just five steps.
Step 1: Get your organization started with Lockwell
This guide will walk you through signing up for Lockwell and inviting your team members.
Step 2: Export Data from LastPass
All members of your organization using LastPass should should follow the linked guide to export their respective account data. If your team has any problems exporting, contact LastPass support or reach out to us through Intercom.
Note: LastPass doesn't include file attachments when exporting data. Therefore, it's a good idea to download these attachments separately before you start the export process.
Step 3: Transfer Data from LastPass to Lockwell
After exporting from LastPass, every team member can follow this guide to import their CSV file of accounts to Lockwell's password vault.
Step 4: Reset Your Sharing Preferences
Once your team has moved their account data to Lockwell, you'll need to set up any sharing configurations previously established in LastPass. Be aware that the original sharing settings won't transfer automatically.
Step 5: Remove LastPass
Once you've successfully transitioned your organization's data and configurations to Lockwell, advise your members to uninstall LastPass apps.
IMPORTANT: CSV files lack encryption, making them readable by others. After successfully importing their account data to Lockwell, instruct your team members to delete any CSV files containing account info from their devices for security.
