Clearing the cache is an essential troubleshooting step when encountering sign-in errors for applications because it removes outdated or corrupted data that may be causing conflicts during the login process.
Over time, browsers store temporary files, cookies, and cached images which can lead to issues such as incorrect credentials being saved or outdated session information being referenced.
By clearing the cache, users ensure that they are accessing the most current data, helping to eliminate potential barriers to successful sign-in.
