Why isn't Country of Origin (COO) showing for some products in Logentic?

Understand why COO can be missing and how to update it safely.

Written by Max Villemure

Quick answer

Country of Origin (COO) can be missing when the value was not available during the product’s first Shopify import, or when the product record has not been updated in Logentic yet. Check the product first, then add or correct COO in Logentic using the product edit or Bulk Editor workflow your team uses.

Before you start

  • Have one or two affected product names or SKUs ready.

  • Confirm the COO value in Shopify or your source product record.

  • Decide whether you are updating one product or several products that share the same COO.

  • Do not bulk-apply one COO value across products that may have different countries of origin.

Steps

  1. Go to InventoryProducts.

  2. Search for the affected product or SKU.

  3. Open the product record, or use Bulk Editor if several products should receive the same COO value.

  4. Add or correct the Country of Origin value.

  5. Save the change.

  6. Reopen or refresh the product record and confirm the COO now appears as expected.

What good looks like

The affected product shows the correct COO in Logentic, and the team knows whether the update was made on one product or across a controlled product group.

What to do next

COO exists in Shopify but not in Logentic.

The value may not have been present when Logentic first imported the product.

Add the COO in Logentic for the affected product or product group.

Several products have different COO values.

A bulk update could apply the wrong country to some products.

Update products separately or group only products that share the same COO.

The COO field or edit action is not available.

Your role, workspace settings, or product state may not allow the edit.

Contact Logentic with the product/SKU example and a screenshot of the product page.

COO is blocking an order, customs document, or fulfillment workflow.

The issue may affect live warehouse or shipping work.

Stop and contact Logentic before forcing a workaround.

When to contact Logentic

Contact Logentic when the COO field is missing, a bulk change could affect many products, the value differs between Shopify and Logentic after review, or the missing COO is blocking fulfillment or shipping work.
