Use global search to quickly find a product, SKU, UPC, barcode, container, location, order, or customer without needing to start from the perfect dashboard.
Tip
On Mac, use Command + K. On PC, use Control + K. You can also click the search bar at the top of Logentic. On iPad or mobile, use the visible search bar.
Use this when
A supervisor needs to locate a product or container before directing an associate.
An associate or supervisor scans a location and needs to see the SKUs stored there.
A CS teammate needs to find an order, customer, address, or postal code.
The team needs to confirm where a SKU is before a transfer, container correction, or support escalation.
SOP: search without creating confusion
Open global search with Command + K, Control + K, or the search bar.
Enter a natural-language term or a precise identifier: product name, SKU, UPC, barcode, location, container, order number, customer, address, or postal code.
Read the result categories before clicking. Results can be grouped by products, containers, orders, or other data types.
Filter by result type when the list is long. For example, filter to containers when you want to see where matching products are stored.
Open the result only when the type matches your intent: product, container, location, or order.
Before moving stock or correcting quantity, physically confirm the product, container, and location.
Important
Global search helps you find information. It does not replace physical confirmation before an inventory transfer, inventory correction, receiving step, or support escalation.
