2. Pinterest common errors

Error code: Authorization failed

The authorization to publish the post failed due to permissions. Please reconnect your Pinterest account and allow permissions before trying to publish again.

Error code: We could not complete that request.

Shortened URLs are currently not allowed in the Link Metadata of Pinterest posts. Reschedule your post, Edit Link Metadata and use the original URL rather than a shortened URL.

Error code: Board not found.

The board you were trying to publish to no longer exists. Please duplicate the post for Pinterest, select a new board, and try to publish the post again.

Error code: We blocked this link because it's a redirector and may lead to inappropriate content

This may be related to the URL included in your post being shortened. Please unshorten the URL in your post and try publishing it again with the Update Post & Reschedule feature.

3. Reconnect & revoke access

To reconnect your Pinterest account

Go to your Calendar Settings > Social Accounts and disconnect your Pinterest account by hitting the red X.

Once you do that, you will be prompted to log in to Pinterest again, which should then reset the connection.

Here are a couple of tips:

  • You can use Manage Social Accounts to disconnect, refresh, and connect Social Accounts.

  • You can also view any Social Accounts that require attention due to failures or expiration from here.
