Introduction
This new feature allows you to block certain users, thereby preventing their participation in your loyalty program.
Blacklisted users will no longer accumulate points on their purchases and will no longer appear in the program’s user data.
How to Proceed
In each user's profile, at the top left, you will find the section “User actions” → “Block user”
When you click on “User Actions” select “Block User”
Then copy the blacklist-loyoly tag and click Block in Shopify. You will then be redirected to your Shopify interface, where you will need to add the blacklist-loyoly tag to the user's profile.
Next, from the “Settings” section click on “Program” You will then access “Blocked Accounts”
Add the blacklist-loyoly tag available in the “Blocked Accounts” drop-down menu.
💡To block multiple users from the loyalty program, first add the tag you want to use to identify them in Shopify. Then, go to Program → Blocked accounts and add the same tag in the configuration.
All users with this tag will then be automatically blocked.
Display for Blacklisted Accounts
Blacklisted users will see a simplified version of the loyalty page. The "Customer Account" and "Checkout" modules are hidden, restricting their access to standard features.
1. Message on Login Attempt
When a blacklisted user tries to access the loyalty page, a message will appear indicating that they are not eligible for the loyalty program.
You are not eligible for the loyalty program.
Please contact the support team if you believe this is an error
2. No Rewards or Notifications
The account is automatically deleted from Loyoly.
No loyalty points are awarded for their orders.
They do not receive any emails related to the loyalty program.
Their data is excluded from the CRM, removing them from all customer tracking analyses.
These restrictions aim to discreetly inform the user of their ineligibility while preserving features reserved for your active customers.
Block a User in the Referral Program
This feature allows you to exclude certain users from your referral program. Once a user is blocked, they can no longer share their referral link.
How to do it:
Go to the profile of the relevant user.
Open the User Actions tab.
Enable the Block Referral option.
Once this option is enabled, the Referral Link section will automatically display "Blocked", confirming that the user can no longer use their referral link.
You can return to the user’s profile at any time and disable the Block Referral option to allow them to participate in the program again.
Visual aspect on the user side
When a referrer shares their referral link, the referees receive an error message indicating that they are not eligible for this referral offer.
