Creating pages with LPagery is simple and can be done in minutes. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up your source file and template page, allowing you to generate pages quickly.

Step 1: Create a Template Page

Your template page determines the layout and design of all generated pages. You’ll define which values will be replaced on each page by using {placeholders} in all places where you want dynamic content.

Steps:

  1. Create a New Page in WordPress:

    • Go to ‘Pages’ → ‘Add New’ and create a new page using your favorite page builder or the default WordPress editor.

  2. Insert Placeholders:

    • Replace dynamic content with placeholders (e.g., {service}, {location}).

    • Example: Add a title like “The Best {service} Company in {location}” and placeholder text in the body like "Find the best {service} business in {city}.

    • You can also insert the placeholders in the meta data of the page using your SEO plugin (Yoast, Rankmath etc.) to have dynamic meta data.

  3. Save and Publish the Page.

So your template page could look something like this:

Step 2: Create a Source File

LPagery uses a source file to provide the dynamic data for the placeholders you added to your template page. You can set this up in two ways:

Option A: Use LPagery’s Source File Creator (Recommended)

  • Why Use It: The easiest way to create your source file. No extra tools needed!

  • Steps:

    1. Add placeholders (columns) for your dynamic content (e.g., Service, City).

    2. Enter values (rows) beneath each placeholder (e.g., Window Cleaning, Manhattan).

    3. Save your file.

Option B: Create a File in Google Sheets or Excel

  • Who It’s For: Users who prefer manual setup or have larger datasets.

  • Steps:

    1. Open Google Sheets or Excel (or any other spreadsheet editor).

    2. Add the placeholders from your template page as column headers (e.g., Service, City).

    3. Enter the corresponding values in rows below.

    4. Save the file as a CSV or XLSX.

For detailed instructions, read our guide on creating source files.

Step 3: Generate Your Pages

Now that your template page and source file are ready, it’s time to generate pages.

Steps:

  1. Open the LPagery Dashboard:

    • Go to the LPagery menu in WordPress.

  2. Select Your Template Page:

    • Choose the template page you created in Step 1.

  3. Upload Your Source File:

    • Upload the CSV or XLSX file you created in Step 2 (or connect Google Sheets, if applicable).

  4. Preview and Create Pages:

    • Click “Create Pages” and after that confirm the pages that will be generated.
