Why Use Spintax?
Using spintax helps you avoid duplicated content across your generated pages. Search engines prioritize unique content, so defining variations of specific words or phrases ensures that each page is distinct. For example, instead of always using the word “best,” you can set spintax to randomly display words like “finest,” “greatest,” or “top.”
How to Use Spintax
1. Enable Spintax in LPagery Pro
The spintax feature is available for users with an Extended Plan or higher in LPagery Pro.
Go to LPagery Settings:
In the LPagery interface, navigate to the Settings tab.
Enable the Spintax Switch:
Find the spintax setting and toggle it to Enable.
2. Add Spintax to Your Template Page
Once spintax is enabled, you can begin adding dynamic content to your template page.
Spintax Format:
{word1|word2|word3|...}
This format allows LPagery to randomly select one of the words within the curly braces each time a page is generated.
Example Usage:
Let’s say you are creating pages for different restaurants in various cities. You want to vary the description to avoid duplication. Here's an example of how spintax can be used:
Template Sentence:
The {best|finest|greatest|top} Restaurant in {city}
In this example:
LPagery will randomly choose one of the words from the spintax (
best
,finest
,greatest
, ortop
).{city}
will be replaced with the actual city name from your source file.
Generated Page Examples:
Page 1: "The finest Restaurant in New York"
Page 2: "The greatest Restaurant in London"
Page 3: "The top Restaurant in Tokyo"
Each page will display a different variation, ensuring unique content for every page.
Note: As the selection which of the words/text inside your spintax is used is random, it can happen that you create three pages and all three have the same text. Of course the more pages you create, the likeliness of this happening shrinks.
Best Practices for Using Spintax
Mix Synonyms:
Use synonyms or closely related terms to maintain the meaning of your content while still varying the phrasing.
Apply to Multiple Sections:
Spintax can be used in multiple parts of your content, not just in one sentence. For example, you can vary headlines, descriptions, or even image alt tags.
Avoid Overuse:
Use spintax wisely to avoid creating content that sounds unnatural. Ensure that the variations are relevant and make sense within the context.
