You can move your VPS to a larger plan from the client area. The server keeps its IP address and all its data, and you pay only the difference for the rest of your current billing period.

Before you upgrade: pay any unpaid invoice first, and wait until any running backup has finished.

How to upgrade your VPS

Step 1: Open your server's page.
Go to My servers and click Manage next to the server.

My Products and Services list with an arrow to the Manage button.

Step 2: Open Upgrade.
In the menu on the left, under Actions, click Upgrade.

Server menu with Upgrade highlighted under Actions.

Step 3: Choose the new plan.
Click Choose Product on the plan you want.

Upgrade page with two Performance plans and the Choose Product button highlighted.

Step 4: Pay the invoice.
Review the order and pay the invoice. If you have a promo code, enter it in Promotional Code and click Validate Code before you pay.

Promotional Code field and Validate Code button.

The upgrade is applied when the payment reaches us. The CPU and Memory usage tiles on the server's page then show the new values.

Moving to a smaller plan

A server can't be moved to a smaller plan, for safety. If you need less, order a new, smaller server and copy your data to it.

Canceling deletes the old server and all its data. Cancel it only after everything works on the new server.

The steps to cancel are in Canceling your VPS service.

Adding IPv4 addresses or backup slots

Extra IPv4 addresses and backup slots are not part of an upgrade. You add them under Actions > Reconfigure Options, as shown in Reconfigure your VPS.
