How to use the Manage Server interface in LumaDock

Learn how to manage your VPS from the LumaDock control panel without SSH or RDP access.

Managing your VPS in LumaDock does not require a constant SSH or RDP connection. The Manage Server interface gives you direct access to essential actions configuration tools and monitoring features straight from your browser.

This article walks through each section so you know exactly where to click and what to expect.

Accessing the Manage Server page

To manage a server from the LumaDock interface start by logging into your client area.

Then, go to the left side menu and click My servers.

You will be redirected to the My Products & Services page where all active products are listed.

Each server is shown individually. Click Manage next to the server you want to control.

This opens the Product Details page which is the main control hub for that VPS.

From here you can perform many actions without opening an SSH or RDP session.

Actions section

The Actions menu is located on the left side of the Product Details page. It contains quick administrative operations for your VPS.

Available options include:

  • Change password

  • Upgrade or downgrade resources

  • Request cancellation

The Upgrade option allows you to increase server resources directly. This is the fastest way to scale your VPS when you need more CPU RAM or disk space.

Request cancellation lets you stop the service. You can choose immediate cancellation or cancellation at the end of the current billing period.

Service management

The Service Management area focuses on backups storage firewall rules and system visibility.

Backups

The Backups section shows available restore points if your VPS includes a backup slot. If no backups are listed your plan does not include one.

You can add a backup slot by returning to the Products page and purchasing it separately.

Backup jobs

Backup jobs display detailed information about executed backups such as start time scheduled day compression type and backup mode. This section also shows if an email notification was sent.

Backup schedules

In Backup schedules you can automate backups. Click Create Backup Schedule to define when backups should run.

Disks

The Disks section lists all disks attached to your VPS. Each disk includes a Backup on / off switch so you can choose which disks are included in backups.

Firewall

The Firewall section lets you create and manage firewall rules.

The LumaDock firewall is active by default but starts without any rules applied. We strongly advise you to create firewall rules for security purposes.

Monitoring and system insight

LumaDock provides several tools to understand how your VPS behaves over time.

Graphs

The Graphs section shows CPU RAM disk and network usage over time. This is

useful for spotting spikes sustained load or unusual activity.

Network

In Network you can view interface details including firewall state MAC address IP address and gateway information.

noVNC console

The noVNC Console offers direct browser-based access to your VPS. It behaves like a physical console with keyboard and mouse input and does not require SSH or RDP.

Access is instant and useful for troubleshooting boot or network issues.

Server lifecycle tools

These sections help you reinstall monitor and automate your VPS.

Reinstallation

Reinstallation allows you to reinstall the operating system using one of the templates provided by LumaDock. This action wipes existing data so make sure backups exist before proceeding.

Resource notifications

In Resource Notifications you can define usage thresholds. You will receive alerts when CPU RAM or disk usage reaches defined limits.

Server monitoring

Server Monitoring lets you check services at regular intervals. This helps maintain visibility into availability and spot problems early.

Task history

Task History shows a log of actions performed on the VPS. This includes reboots reinstalls and scheduled operations.

VM power tasks

With VM Power Tasks you can schedule automatic start stop or reboot actions at specific times.

Once you are familiar with these sections the Manage Server interface becomes a reliable daily tool. Most routine tasks can be handled directly from the browser without touching the command line.
