Creating a NEW USA CPE-earning Account

A guide on creating a new account to earn CPE credits.

💡 If your company requires you to earn CPE credits, but you currently earning CPD hours, the following article will show you how to create a new NASBA account and help you get started on earning your CPE.

Step 1: Update Your Current Account Email Address

To update your email address go to the Profile Page on the web application. It is located in the top-right corner of the page.

Change the email associated with your account from a company email to a personal email. This will enable you to create a new account with your company email later. After changing the email to a personal address, click the "Save" button.

Step 2: Creating a New Account

Click here to create a new LumiQ account using your Company email.

Enter your work field in the email field and click 'Continue with email'

Create and confirm your password, click on 'Agree and Create Account' to continue

If you're unable to create a new account after clicking "Agree and Continue," return to Step 1 and ensure you've changed the email from your previous account to a personal email. You can't create a new account with your company email if you didn't change it in Step 1—remember, only one email address can be associated with an account.

Step 3: User Onboarding

⚠️ This step is crucial to ensure you are enrolled as a United States - CPA user to ensure the proper platform experience for earning CPE credits.

After clicking "Agree and Continue," you'll complete a short questionnaire that determines your platform experience. Please follow the instructions carefully.

Click on "Get Started".

Select "Yes, I'm designated" and click on "Next".

Click on "United States of America", a list of designations should pop-out. Select "Certificated Public Accountant". Even if you live outside of the US, you must fill out the form in this way to avoid compliance issues. Once selected, click on "Next".

Select the State your company is headquartered in. In the example, we've selected California. Once selected, click on "Next".

Enter your legal name and click on "Next".

You should see CPE VERIFIABLE on the mock-certificate. If you see CPD VERIFIABLE click on "Previous" to back to the Country-Designation and State selection pages. Go back to the beginning of Step 3.

Click on "Skip". Our CS Support team will manually move you your corporate subscription once this questionnaire is completed.

Enter your Company Name and Job Title and click on "Next".

Final step, you should see "Earn CPE with engaging podcasts" as the title, click on "Explore LumiQ".

⚠️ If you see "Earn CPD", reach out to our team via the orange message button on the bottom-right corner immediately.

You will now be on the NASBA, CPE earning experience on LumiQ. Please allow one (1) business day for our team to move you to your company plan 👏.
