Uploading Documents

Here is how to upload documents to an entity in Lumonic

  1. Click the Documents tab in the navigation side-bar.

  2. Click “+ Add Document” in the top-right corner of the documents page.

  3. Select the entity whose documents you are uploading.

  4. Select your file(s). You can drag and drop or browse to select.

  5. Review the AI-suggested tag and effective date for each file.

    (a) The document tag categorizes the file (e.g., Financial Statement or Compliance Certificate) determines how the document is routed — a correctly tagged financial statement automatically triggers data extraction workflows.

    (b) The effective date is the as-of date for the document. For financial statements, this should be the last day of the reporting period (e.g., 01/31/2026 for January financials). For budgets, use the last day of the prior fiscal year (e.g., 12/31/2025 for a 2026 budget).

  6. Click “Save” to confirm the upload. Your file(s) will appear immediately in the Documents tab.
