If you no longer need one of your additional accounts, you can easily close it in the app. However, please note that it’s not possible to close your primary account yourself – that is, the bank account you were automatically assigned when you became a Lunar customer. If you wish to close your account entirely, please contact our support team.

How to Close an Additional Account

  1. In the "Accounts" tab, where you can see all your accounts, find the one you wish to close. You can find this tab at the top of the app.

  2. Tap on "Details" at the top of the screen.

  3. Tap "Close Account" at the top of the screen.

  4. On the next page, you can read important information about what happens when you close your account. Swipe right at the bottom of the screen to finalize and close the account.

We will now begin the process of closing your account. Once it’s closed, we’ll send a confirmation via email. Tap "Done" to return to your Lunar app.

Good to Know

  • When you close your additional account, there is a notice period of the current month + 1 month. Until the account is officially closed, it will still appear in the app, and all functions will remain available until the end of the notice period.

  • When your additional account is closed, several things happen automatically:

    • All physical and virtual cards linked to the account will be closed.

    • The balance of the account will be transferred to your primary account.

    • Payments, recurring and future transfers, and payment service agreements will all be moved to your primary account.

    • If your NemKonto is linked to the account, it will be moved to your primary account.

  • If you have made a transfer from an additional account, unfortunately, closing the account will not prevent the transfer from being completed.
