Getting Started: How Your Student Logs In 🚀

Your student's teacher will share how to log in. They’ll use one of these Single Sign-On (SSO) options:

  • Clever

  • ClassLink

  • Microsoft

  • Google

  • Schoology

  • Canvas

Personalizing the Learning Experience 🌟

Magma Math lets your student adjust settings for a more comfortable, engaging experience. To adjust these settings, click on the person icon on the tab with the student's name. Students are able to personalize the following:

  • Language Preferences: Choose a preferred language.

  • Text Size: Make text larger or smaller for easier reading.

  • Text-to-Speech: Enable this so problems can be read aloud.

  • Submission Method: Type answers or use a touchscreen.

Understanding Assignments and Quizzes 📝

When your student logs in, they’ll see assignments and quizzes designed to build math skills. On the interactive canvas, they can:

  • Solve problems and show their work using virtual tools (pencil, eraser, shapes).

  • Use manipulatives to visualize concepts.

  • Drag and drop the problem allowing them to interact directly with the images.

  • Translate the exercises to their preferred language, as well as have the exercises be read to them.

Tracking Progress and Understanding Results 🔥

Magma Math’s Heatmap shows how your student is doing:

  • Green: Your student got the problem right on the first try.

  • Yellow: They got it right after a couple of attempts.

  • Red: The answer was incorrect.

This feedback helps identify areas where your student might need extra support and shows how they are progressing over time.

🏫 How You Can Support Your Student's Success

  1. Encourage Regular Practice: Help them stay consistent.

  2. Be Available for Questions: Ask them about their work or remind them to reach out to their teacher.

  3. Celebrate Achievements: Magma Math rewards progress with stars and feedback—cheer them on!

With Magma Math, your student is set up for success in a fun, interactive way, and your encouragement makes all the difference.
