How Teachers Send Feedback

  1. Open the Assignments tab.

  2. Select an assignment to open the Heatmap.

  3. Click a student’s name to view their solutions.

  4. Open a specific problem.

  5. Click the chat bubble icon in the top-right corner.

  6. Type your feedback and send it to the student.

Your message will automatically attach to that student’s work.

What Students See

Students can see teacher feedback:

  • before opening the assignment

  • while reviewing their work

When students open the assignment, they can access comments through the chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

This helps students revisit feedback while reflecting on their thinking and solutions.

Important Notes

  • Only teachers can send messages.

  • Students cannot reply to teacher feedback.

  • Feedback remains connected to the student’s solution for easy review later.

Teachers often use feedback to:

  • guide corrections

  • reinforce strong reasoning

  • ask reflection questions

  • support mathematical communication
