There are three ways to add pupils to your class. Regardless of the method you choose, you must first have created the class that the pupils will join.

Pupils can access Magma in three ways:

To create accounts, pupils can follow one of the following options:

Option 1: Let pupils create their own accounts

This is generally the fastest way to add pupils.

Write the class code on the board. It is generated when you create your class.

  1. Pupils should start by going to https://www.magmamaths.co.uk/ and clicking on Sign up in the top right corner.

  2. Choose Pupil.

  3. They will then be prompted to create an account through Google or Microsoft or enter their First Name, Last Name, a Username or Email address, and to choose a Password create an account through Google or Microsoft โ†’ Click Next.

  4. The pupil can then join the class by entering the Class Code.

Option 2: Send an email to have us create the accounts

You can send an email to hello@magmamaths.co.uk and attach a class list. We will create the accounts for you within 24 hours. This saves you a lot of time, and all pupils are added at once. Additionally, you will have control over their usernames and passwords.

Option 3: Manually add pupils yourself

This method is suitable if you want to prepare before introducing Magma Maths to your pupils, or if you have younger pupils who may find it challenging to create accounts on their own.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Pupils tab and click on Add Pupil.

  2. Click on Add Manually.

  3. Fill in the pupil's First Name, Last Name, Username, and Password.

    • If you want pupils to log in via Google or Microsoft, enter their email address as the username.

  4. Click Save.

You've now added pupils to your class! You can verify this by going to the Pupils tab and selecting the class you added pupils to.
