Teacher view:

When you're logged into your Magma account, click on Assignments and select an assignment. Once inside the assignment, you'll be taken straight to the Heatmap.

From there, you can click on a pupil’s name to view their solutions for different problems. Then, click on a specific problem to open it.

At the top right corner, you’ll see a chat bubble icon. Click the chat bubble to send a message directly to the pupil.

Pupil view:

When you send feedback, pupils can see it even before clicking into the assignment. Once they open the assignment, they’ll find your comment in the chat bubble located in the bottom, right corner.

Note: Only teachers can send messages; pupils cannot reply to teacher feedback.

By commenting on specific parts of a pupil’s work, this feature helps them understand exactly what to improve, boosting both motivation and engagement during maths lessons! 😄
