Below are instructions on how to create your own tasks that you can include in exercises.
Click on New Assignment.
Go to My book, and click on Edit Book.
Click on New Problem+.
Start to write your question. If you want, you can add a Problem image, which appears alongside the question. And a Canvas image, which will be placed in the answer area, allowing students to annotate directly on it.
You can also use symbols from the palette in your question. If you click on More, you will have more options to choose from. You can also use this function in your answer.
You can Preview your problem to see exactly how the problem will appear for your students. This lets you check formatting, images, and math entry before assigning it.
You can write your answer in Maths Entry. There, you can also control how answers are evaluated.
Require Format means that your students must match the format you used; for example, if you typed 1/2, the student will get it wrong for answering 0.5.
Require Simplification means that your students must submit the answer in its simplest form, for example, if you typed 1/2, the student will get it wrong for answering 2/4.
If you see an Invalid answer format error, double-check your answer formatting. Some advanced formats may not be supported.
You can also use single and multi-select questions.
You can choose to have Ordered answers; this type asks students to arrange answers in the correct sequence. The order you set will be shown in small numbered boxes, students must match this sequence.
Choose Level and click on Save.
