Teachers can now freeze an assignment directly from the heatmap to instantly pause all pupils’ screens and get full classroom attention. The freeze automatically lifts after 15 minutes if not manually removed, so no one gets stuck. Pupils won’t be able to click anywhere on the platform until they’re unfrozen.

Teachers can now control Lava at the assignment level, making it easy to turn hints on for younger pupils or off when they want learners to work independently. A one-time tooltip in the Create Assignment flow introduces the setting, which is automatically adapted by grade and saved for future assignments which gives teachers more flexibility and control with less effort.
