Turning Lava On and Off in Assignments

Teachers can now control Lava on an assignment level, giving pupils access to hints or letting them work independently.

How It Works

  1. Enter the Create Assignment flow.

  2. Look for the Lava tooltip (appears only once for existing users). Lava will be off by default for EYFS & KS1/S1-3, on otherwise.

  3. Toggle Lava on or off depending on whether you want pupils to see hints.

  4. Your choice will automatically save for future assignments.

  5. To change Lava on an existing assignment, edit it.

Why You Might Use Lava

  • Turn Lava on for younger pupils who need guidance.

  • Turn Lava off when you want pupils to solve problems independently.
