End of Unit Assignments

First 4 Maths have started to create end of unit assignments. Learn where to find them and tips for setting them.

Create a new assignment.

Ensure you have the First 4 Maths books in your bookshelf. If you do not, click 'add/remove books' and search First 4 Maths.

You can select all books or just choose the years relevant to you. Then click save.

Now that you have the books in your bookshelf, click into the book and the unit.

Please note: Since there is a baseline for each yearbook, the first unit will be listed as 2. and so on.

You'll then see the end of unit assignment at the bottom of the subchapter.

Click into the end of unit assignment.

End of Unit Suggested Settings

  1. To select all questions within the assignment, click the tick box at the top.

  2. You will see here how many questions are currently selected. You can choose to do all of the questions in one assignment, or you could split them into two assignments by clicking on any questions you want to deselect. You will see how many questions are selected here.

  3. You can edit the name of the assignment here.

  4. Choose which class or group to assign to.

  5. Important: Switch to quiz mode to turn off instant feedback, Lava and allow answer checking. Learn more about quiz mode.

  6. Switch safe mode on to prevent pupils returning to Magma if they've left the app/ browser. Learn more about safe mode.

Once you're finished with your settings, click create.

Start your quiz

When you're ready for pupils to begin, click start.
