Asset Types in Makula

Asset types are customisable categories that help classify and organise your assets, such as Machines, Components, or Subassemblies. They are completely optional and allow you to add structure and clarity to your asset hierarchy.

Benefits of Asset Types

  • Better Organisation: Group assets into meaningful categories for easier management.

  • Improved Search ability: Filter and locate assets quickly using asset types.

  • Enhanced Flexibility: Tailor asset types to align with your business needs and processes.

How to Create Asset Types

To create asset types, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings in the sidebar.

  2. Under General Settings, click on Asset Types.

  3. Click on the Add Asset Type button.

  4. Enter the asset type name in the sidebar.

  5. Click Save to finalise.

Note: Duplicate asset types cannot be created. Each asset type name must be unique.
