Introduction

Makula allows you to create custom statuses to tailor the work order workflow to your operational needs. This article will walk you through creating, managing, and applying custom statuses.

Navigation

Go to Settings > Work Management > Work Order Statuses

Default Statuses

  • OPEN and CLOSED are mandatory and cannot be deleted or reordered but they can be renamed.

  • CALLBACK, VISIT PLANNED, ON HOLD, and WAITING INPUT are provided by default but can be removed or renamed.

Creating a New Status

  1. Click + New label.

  2. Enter a Status Name (max 16 characters including spaces).

  3. Select a Colour to visually differentiate the status.

  4. Click the tick icon to save.

Note: New statuses will appear above CLOSED and below the last added status.
Status name must be unique.

Managing Statuses

  • Edit: Hover over a status and click the pencil icon to rename or change its colour.

  • Delete: Hover over a status and click the trash icon.

    • If the status is in use, you must migrate affected work orders to another status before deletion.

Reordering Statuses

  • Drag and drop statuses using the six-dot icon on the left.

  • OPEN and CLOSED cannot be reordered.

  • The chosen order will reflect in both the status dropdown and Board View.

Applying Custom Statuses to Work Orders

  1. Open a Work Order (Navigate to CMMS > Work Orders).

  2. In the top-left corner, open the Status dropdown.

  3. Select the appropriate status.

Custom statuses are available across all work order types.
