How to Delete Work Orders

Learn how to delete work orders from either the Work Orders list or the Work Order detail view, including how to record a deletion reason.

Deleting a Work Order

You can delete a work order in two ways:


Method 1: Delete from the Work Orders Page

Steps:

  1. Go to Field Service> Work Orders.

  2. Locate the work order you want to delete.

  3. Click the bin icon next to the work order.

  4. A confirmation modal will appear.

  5. (Optional) Enter a reason for deleting the work order in the text field. This reason will be saved in the Activity Log for record-keeping.

  6. Click Delete to confirm.


Method 2: Delete from the Work Order Detail View

Steps:

  1. Open the work order you want to delete.

  2. Click the ellipsis (three dots) in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Delete.

  4. A confirmation modal will appear.

  5. (Optional) Enter a reason for deleting the work order in the text field.

  6. Click Delete to confirm.


Important Notes

  • Deletion is permanent. Once deleted, the work order cannot be recovered.

  • If a reason is provided, it will be stored in the Activity Log for accountability.
