Navigation: Select Quotes from the sidebar.
How do I create a quote?
Click + Add New Quote.
Select the Company. This is required.
Optionally link a Work Order. Parts and billable time entries from the work order are added as line items.
A quote number is assigned automatically.
How do I add line items?
Search for a part or type a custom item name.
Enter the Quantity, Unit, Price, Markup % and Discount %.
The line Total is calculated automatically.
Available units: Each, Minute, Hour, Day, Week, Month, Year.
How do I add packages?
From the line item dropdown: type or search in a line item and select a package listed under Packages.
From Browse: click Browse to open Browse Items, open a package type's tab, click + on a package, then click Done.
Adding a package inserts all of its line items into the quote.
What notes can I add?
Customer Notes (up to 120 characters) appear on the PDF and on the quote your customer sees.
Internal Notes are only visible to your internal team.
What is the Valid Until date?
Valid Until is the date the quote expires.
When the Valid Until date is reached, the quote moves to Expired automatically. You cannot make changes to an expired quote until you move the Valid Until date forward. Quotes that are already Approved do not expire.
Good to know
Billable time entries from a work order are added with a price of 0. Enter the rate manually.
New quotes do not include your default taxes. Add them using Add Taxes.
Editing line items or taxes on a sent quote moves it back to Draft. Send it again when you are ready.
Use Duplicate to create a new draft copy with a new quote number.
To see what your customer will see when they open the link in your email, click the ellipsis (⋯) in the top right and select Preview.
