The board view provides the capability to enhance your workflow, improve efficiency, and facilitate better customer relationship management. This guide will walk you through the process of effectively using the board to visualize, track, and manage work orders, machines, and facilities in a visual workflow format.

Benefits of the Board view

  1. Visual Workflow Management: Boards will provide a visual representation of your processes and stages. This makes it easier to track the status of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions, allowing your team to quickly identify bottlenecks and prioritize tasks.

  2. Streamlined Lead Management: With a board, you can visualize the entire lead management process, from initial contact to conversion. This helps sales teams stay organized and focused on moving leads through different stages, increasing the chances of successful conversions.

  3. Enhanced Collaboration: Boards will encourage collaboration among team members. Each team member can see the progress of different leads or deals, making it easier to share information, assign tasks, and work together to achieve common goals.

  4. Real-Time Updates: Changes made on the board will be reflected in real-time, ensuring that everyone has access to the latest information.


Board Overview

The board presents an intuitive visual representation of your workflow:

  • Columns: Each column represents a stage or state in your workflow.

  • Cards: Each card on the board represents an individual work order, machine, or facility in the Work Order, Machine, or Customers board view respectively.

  • Drag-and-Drop: You can drag cards between columns to update their status or custom field value.

  • Custom Field as Boards: All the Single select custom fields will be available as different board views for work orders, machines, and customers.

  • Sorting: You can sort the cards in the Board view on three criteria. All the cards in the individual columns will be sorted based on the criteria selected.

    • Name: A-Z or Z-A

    • Created date: Latest or Oldest

    • Updated date: Latest or Oldest

Work Order, Machine, and Customer Board Views

Makula offers a board view for work orders, machines, and customers on the platform. The functionality and interactions on the board view are the same for work orders, machines, and facilities. Below you can see how you can use the board view for the work order.

For work orders, by default “Status” view will be shown and the work order cards will be displayed in the different status columns based on their statuses.

Moving Cards on the Board View

Steps:

  1. Click and hold on a work order card that you want to move to another column.

  2. Drag and drop the card in another column.

  3. The card position of the card in the new column will be based on the sorting selected by you.

  4. The status of the work order will be updated based on the column you have moved the card.

Create Custom Board

You can create custom boards on the Board from the "Single select" custom fields added in the Main Settings for work orders, machines, and facilities.

Steps:

  1. On the Board view, click on the "+ Create board".

  2. Select from the available "Single select" values.

  3. Click on the added board to visualize the work orders based on the selected custom field.

  4. Moving the cards from one column to another will update the custom field value for the work order.
