Pitching a project might seem overwhelming, but breaking it down into steps can make it manageable. Here’s a straightforward guide to help you out.
Add a new "Travel Plan" or edit an existing one
If you want to submit a project idea, you need to make a new travel plan. You can do this through the ❗️[MONDAY CHECK IN] ⬆️ ✈️ 📆 🌍 Calendar Event, an email reminder, or the Athlete Cockpit. Check out the instructions on how to create travel plans here. Just make sure to hit the "Project" button at the top or bottom of the form.
After you hit the SAVE button and turn on the "Project" option, our short pitch form will pop up. It's trimmed down to just the key points so your sponsor can quickly grasp what your pitch is about. Make sure to fill in the following fields.
Project Description: Get him excited with a quick rundown of what makes it awesome.
Benefits: Simply click to select the most common ones we've listed, or feel free to add your own in the provided space.
Output: What kind of social posts, content, or print media are you planning to create? This info is crucial for the recruiter to check out your request. Make sure your assessment is practical.
Feel free to add extra stuff like images or a video to show off your project. You can also upload a PDF if you have one.
You can ask for Budget support for each project based on your sponsor's setup.
We usually suggest just planning one travel stop for project pitches since you'll need to upload your pitched content later, and it's always tied to a specific location. If you want to request a budget, just click the "Budget" option at the bottom. Once you save, you'll go to the budget overview.
After you send in your project proposal, the system will add an event to both your and the sponsor's calendars that covers all the details. You can also edit and tweak your pitch, from there, if needed.
A summary email will be sent to both of you—it's really that straightforward.
We always add some cool facts and team rankings in our emails to keep you pumped up.

Based on your proposal and what you aim to achieve within your budget, your sponsor will send you a briefing along with a personal note, and then you're good to go.
Here's the deal: the briefing is built on your suggestions and will be tweaked by the sponsor as needed. Once he sends it in, you'll get an email summary with three parts. The first part repeats your pitch, the middle part shows the sponsor's briefing, and the last part has the links where you can upload your work once you're done, depending on the briefing. The system will also update your calendar event from 🛸[PROJECT] to 💰[PROJECT BRIEFING]. Plus, you'll find your briefing in the notes of the calendar event, so you can keep track of everything on the move.
After you finish your project, it's time to show your work to the sponsor as outlined in the briefing. It's a straightforward process.
You can quickly submit your work through the calendar event; just look for the upload link in the notes.
Once you finish your project, you'll get a Mission Accomplished email from the system. Just hit the upload button next to each briefing part and submit your work.
If you'd rather review your work on a bigger computer screen, just log into the Athlete Cockpit. You'll find all your briefings under the Achievements section.
Go through each tab, and once you've added everything you need, a red PUBLISH button will show up. Hit that, and your work will be sent to your sponsor.
To keep everyone in the loop about your work, we don't just make a WeTransfer link. We also put everything into a neat project template so your work looks good and gets the recognition it deserves. Plus, we make sure everyone at your sponsor's company gets a copy to appreciate and use. When you upload, give us a bit more info—it'll help out a lot down the road.
Check out how to do that here.
Once your upload is complete, you'll get a copy and a link to the template—you're going to love it.
