One of the pillars of the Marathon Kids program is Goal Setting!
You must set a club mileage goal every season to help teach the importance of goal setting.
Setting a goal will help to:
Build a community around physical activity

Tips for Goal Setting
Set the Club Goal at the beginning of the season.
Adjust the goal during your season based on the number of your participants.
Goals sometimes need to be adjusted if you projected too high or when you crush the goal before the season ends.
Educate your participants about the goal.
Use our first three lessons to teach participants how they play a role in the Club Goal.
Every participant contributes to the goal as well as their individual goal and class and grade level mileage totals.
Focus on short-term goals.
Your goal may be a really big number and hard for kids to fathom.
Break your goal into smaller short-term goals to teach kids the importance of making a plan when you set a goal.
Display Goals and Data
Set a cadence to keep participants updated on club goals and their personal data.
Use these printables to help you track goals and miles.
Identify space to display the data like a bulletin board.
