How your first Marro box works

Your trial box is your first taste of Marro’s fresh, high-quality meals.

What is a trial box?

The trial box is your cat’s chance to explore Marro and decide if we pass their taste test (spoiler: we do).

Depending on what you select at sign-up, your trial will include either a 7-day or 14-day supply of meals, featuring a mix of our delicious recipes.


If your cat has allergies or special dietary needs, we’ll automatically exclude unsuitable recipes.

Pro tip: If chicken is among your chosen recipes, you might notice a few extra chicken pouches. This is because it’s our most popular recipe for first-timers (and the ultimate fussy-cat favourite).

Once your box arrives, you can adjust your recipe selections anytime from your Marro account.

Payment for the trial box is processed at checkout. Whilst the contents of your box can’t be changed or cancelled after purchase, you’ll have full flexibility to pause, skip, or reschedule future deliveries after your trial box has been delivered.

What happens next?

When you sign up for a trial, a subscription is created automatically but you stay in full control.

After your trial box arrives, your next delivery will be scheduled 7 or 14 days later (depending on your trial size). You can:

To stop your next box from being sent, cancel by 11pm, two days before your second box is due - this ensures you aren’t charged.


Tips for fussy eaters

Transitioning to new food takes time. Start with small spoonfuls of warmed food on a clean plate and temporarily remove old food options.


Most cats adjust within 3 days, but patience is key.

For multi-cat households, try separate feeding areas to keep the peace and ensure every cat gets their fair share.

Q: Why didn’t I receive the toy mouse in my trial box?
A: “Midge the Mouse” is included as a gift with your second box - your first full subscription box after the trial.

Q: Can I choose the gift included in my trial box?
A: The trial includes our standard complimentary Marro spork to ensure consistency for all new customers. You’ll be able to select a gift for your second box.
