At Materna Health, we understand that postpartum recovery is a journey that benefits from a strong support system. This guide will help you involve your partner, family members, or other support persons in your Virtual Intensive Postpartum Care (IPC) program.

Why Involve Your Support System?

Ways to Involve Your Support Person:

1. Share Your Care Plan

- Review your personalized care plan together

- Discuss goals and expectations for your recovery

2. Attend Virtual Appointments Together

- Invite your support person to join your virtual consultations when appropriate

- They can take notes, ask questions, and provide additional insights

3. Participate in Partner Therapy Sessions

- Weeks 7-8 of your program include partner therapy

- These sessions address changes in relationship dynamics post-childbirth

4. Learn About Postpartum Care Together

- Share educational resources provided by your care team

- Discuss what you're learning about postpartum recovery

5. Assist with Physical Recovery

- Learn about safe postpartum exercises from your physical therapist

- Your partner can help ensure you're performing exercises correctly

6. Support Mental Health
