If only the clean gravel is removed, it can be taken to the Central Maui Landfill (CML) upon approval. You will be required to fill out DEM SWDʻs C&D Waste Form. Please note on this form that the gravel for disposal was placed on your property by USACE and include a copy of your Closeout Package as supplemental evidence. If any soils are brought in with gravel, CML may require testing of the material and a Soil Profile Sheet. Only approved loads with Clearance Numbers will be allowed disposal. Residents and/or contractors are encouraged to call (808) 280-3416 to discuss new construction waste acceptance criteria prior to hauling debris to CML.
